The customer had a dream. The dream was a classic Porsche which also would be good for daily driving if needed. After years of studying the models and after changing his mind several times between different aircooled Porche generations the decision was finaly made. It should be the late 80´s Carrrera 3.2 with the new generation G50 gearbox. This car has still the classic lines, but it is already quite modern car to drive. There was one more thing that was clear. It needs to have a black leather interior. He approached us in early 2019 and we started a joint project to find the right car for him. During spring 2019 we studied about 50 different 1985-1989 model Carrera 3.2 cars for sale in Europe. In Summer we then made a joint trip to Germany and found the right car in Munich from a well known Carrera 3.2 specialist Dreikommazwei GmbH.
The car was a 1988 model with G50 gearbox and with very rare full black leather interior. The engine was the desired European specification with 234 hp. The car was in a very good driving condition, but already with over 120.000 km.
According to the original agreement, Carrera Classic bought the car for the customer, imported it to Finland and did a full technical and cosmetic overhaul of the car. This included full rebuild of the brakes, suspension, gearbox and engine. The engine was also restored outside to the new condition and it got a new Cargraphic catalytic converter. The Fuchs wheels were restored by Art Wheels. The radio was replaced with the new Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 radio, which is perfect copy of the 0riginal 1986 model, but with modern technology. The interior and most of the paint is still original. Now the project is completed and the car is ready for at least the next 120.000 km on the Finnish roads. Its great to make dreams happen.
