Carrera Classic attended to the Porsche Rennsport Reunion V at Laguna Seca race track in California on 25 – 27.9. 2015. This is the largest gathering of historic Porsche racecars and drivers in the world. The event takes place every three years.
This time there was a record crowd of 57,000 Porsche enthusiasts. The Reunion is an amazing gathering of motorsports past and present: competition cars form different decades and display of historic cars including cars from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. It’s also an opportunity to see and meet the Porsche Le Mans legends like Ickx, Bell, Stuck, Haywood, Mass, Van Lennep, Barth, just to name a few. During the three days there was nearly nonstop on-track action with 320 racing Porsches and in addition more than 100 cars on display. Even the parking place with over 2000 Porsches was worth seeing.
You could see there all the fantastic classic 911 racers like the T/R, R, ST, RS, RSR in addition to the 550, 356 Carreras and the mighty 917 just to mention some. We also participated to the 25th anniversary dinner of the Early 911S Registry on Saturday evening. It was fantastic 3 days with wonderful classic Porsches and we got a lot of good ideas
